The Honeymoon

Anthony and I went to Paris for our honeymoon on the Tuesday after our wedding, just 3 nights so we treated our selves to a top room at the Royal York Hotel before travelling,  1st class train travel and a swanky hotel – The Franklin Roosevelt Hotel just minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe!.  We had a real good time there.  We had envisaged just relaxing, eating brie and drinking wine and watching the world go by but when we saw the sights we hit them all, The Eiffel tower, The Louvre, the Champs Eleysee, and more. We had a night out at the Moulin Rouge which was good, with a meal and drink and watched the show.  Funnily enough we sat next to a couple there and when we got talking they were on their honeymoon and they got married on the same day as us, that was a coincidence eh?

At the end of the week we made our way back home (reluctantly) thinking along with other places Paris is one of our special places to visit again.  We did feel a bit guilty at enjoying ourselves when Joe and Adam were left at home though so we surprised them with a night away in Blackpool and had a blast on the trams, saw the illuminations and hit the machines.  We also watched a firework display there as the world champion fireworks were on!
